More than that though, this site is dedicated to the history and loyalty of an often under-valued commodity - the ex-player. In many cases, the 'ex', after a lifetime of service to a particular club is forgotten by his former employers and left to become a faded memory in the minds of ageing supporters. The Sproson Fund is commited to raising the funds to erect a statue honouring Roy Sproson - the embodiment of loyalty and sportsmanship for past and future generations of Port Vale supporters and players alike. | |
